Semantic Archive

Information-analytical system Semantic Archive is a tool for creating an integrated data storage with an ability to keep reports on monitored objects, events and text files.

The system enables to store information, imported from different relational databases, to add data from any other source such as Internet, mass media, databases, online libraries and systems (Spark, Integrum, etc.), documents, analyst's own data and so on.

It makes possible to merge information, contained in different documents and different DBs. Due to flexible settings of the ontological data model users can operate with various topics and fields of activity.

Generated storage is used by analysts for data search, adding internal confidential information, detecting connections between objects and events, obtaining analytical reports, schemes, diagrams and maps.

Semantic archive has a module structure, which allows to select and set an appropriate configuration of the system.

New version 4.0 of the system was released in 2011. The system was completely transferred to a new platform, interface and usability were upgraded. The system is written in C# using .NET Framework. MS SQL Server 2008/2012 is used as database management system.

There is also an SDK for integration with external products and attaching additional components produced by third-party developers (thorough documentation and examples provided). A web version of the system is almost finished.

In a new version of the system the stress is made on an internet robots management platform, report forms, working with diagrams and maps, automating events and facts extraction and a range of other new features.

Features of the system
  • Monitoring and automated data aggregation from the Internet and other open sources (media, analytical reports, social networks, forums, online bases, etc.);
  • Merging different databases and databanks into a single system, providing search by objects of interest (persons and organizations);
  • Automated processing of text files, extracting objects of interest (persons, companies, brands, etc) and facts/events related to them;
  • Full text and object search which help to obtain highly precise results;
  • Quick detection of indirect connections between objects and facts\events related to them;
  • Visualizing analytical research in the form of digests, dossiers (business references), semantic schemes, graphs, maps and other types of reports.

Benefits of installation
  • Automatic monitoring and data search on the internet;
  • Data storage which contains all important articles from mass media and internal documentation of the company. The system provides instant access by search functions;
  • Keeping files on persons, companies, regions, large-scale projects, tenders, events, etc. Facts from dossiers are proved by such sources as documents and articles from the database;
  • Visual description of a situation of any complexity. Building multilevel and multi-stage picture of the situation development. All connections between people and companies (partners, competitors, affiliated structures, customers, suppliers etc.) are visualized on the semantic scheme;
  • Various reports, maps, graphs and digests for executives and managers of the company.
